Vivian Hershfield is an artist and jewelry maker. She worked for 32 years as a Medical Technologist, she has always devoted much time to her love of painting.  Vivian has taken numerous classes studying with Dan Slapo a Master pastelist, with Angela D'Aleo and Mary Ann Heinzen learning watercolor techniques. She is also studying oil paiinting with Howard Rose.  Vivian has taken workshops with Janet Walsh, Howard Rose, Bart Deceglie ,  Doug Dawson, Aaron Schuerr and Richard McKinley.
She is currently a member of a plein air group that has traveled to Maine, Vermont, Santa Fe, Long Island and New York City. 
 
  Currently she is a member of the Art League of Nassau County, the Art Guild of Port Washington and the National Art League.  She has exhibited her paintings throughout the New York area including the Cork Gallery in Lincoln Center, the Great Neck House, the Petite Gallery in Huntington,the Graphic Eye Gallery in Port Washington, the Upfront Gallery in Port Jervis  the Barnes Gallery in Garden City, Trapani Gallery in Manhasset and many libraries on Long Island.  Her work can be found in many private collections.
She has received awards of Excellence, Merit and Honorable mention on a number of her paintings in all mediums.
